Compatibility issue with NCrunch and EmguCV
« on: August 26, 2014, 09:44:04 AM »
Hello,

I'm developing application using NCrunch (ncrunch.net) and EmguCV (http://www.emgu.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page). Every time I modify my code, NCrunch creates a new executable and launches some unit tests. If my code is dependent on EmguCV, Avast launches a scan on the executable every time it is created and the scan lasts many seconds. The same happens often (but not systematically) when launching my application for debugging. This is annoying because it slows down my development. I tried to add the executable to the ignore list but it doesn't seem to change anything as I can see the executable listed many times in the list but the scans still occur. I'm now running with all Avast shields down most of the time which is kind of useless.
How can I help the Avast team to prevent scanning these executables ?

Regards,

David

Add the entire development folder to the global exclusion list.

I've been working with the entire development folder in the global exclusion list for a couple of days without any issue. Thanks a lot Eddy !
