The only add on in IE11 is Bing

Hello all.

I think I've got the same problem as OP. I've run a full virus scan which hasn't picked anything up, but every time I use google I get a virus alert.

Is it some sort of forwarding malware?

Paulotuatail, you're upset that "Browser Cleanup" has put up information you don't agree with...

What merit do you see in continuing to use "Browser Cleanup"?

The problem isn't with google but with the link you select to click in a google search.
You could have used Bing or Yahoo and if you had selected the same search result, you would have gotten the same warning.

Bob, I didn't read his post that way.  I read it as (paraphrasing) "Whenever I do a Google Search and it puts up results I get a 'malware blocked' warning".

Unfortunately I don't have specific advice to offer, though I wouldn't choose to run Google software on purpose myself.

Then maybe you need to re-read his post and look at the screenshots. Not using Google is a personal problem certainly not
something shared by most.

Please show me where his screenshot implies he's clicked on a link.  Hint:  Do YOU see any results in the links there that say jaoohqvqda.ru in the URL?

Beyond that, note the little green checkmark bubbles.

This may be a situation where the browser is infected somehow.  But we don't have enough information to know that yet.

That's how I read it too. He apparently hasn't clicked on any of the individual search results he's getting the AVAST blocking message on the actual results of the Google search for: "Hello" itself.

Maybe there IS something nasty in the search results, perhaps a malicious link which AVAST is detecting. But otherwise, if this is being repeated with other unrelated Google searches, then that shouldn't be happening should it?

According to a Swedish web site that URL shown maybe connected with a tracker cookie.

It is likely rubbish and nothing like this but I'd still use CCleaner and wipe all my cookies. Then also use CCleaner to see what is in Start Up, particularly looking at what is listed under the browser tab the OP is using. Anything with a .ru Russian domain code that you don't recognise there I'd be suspicious. If you're not sure what is safe to disable/delete ask.

If that does not come up with anything maybe it is buried deeper so you may need to look in Autoruns and/or use the "msconfig" command.

Finally a full Malwarebytes scan followed by the same for AVAST will at least mean that as far as it is possible to be sure the problem isn't caused by something that has unwantedly sneaked onto your PC.

@NoelC,
Your assumption that this is or must be related to Browser Cleanup happens to be off the mark.
Nothing in the post of Tripig indicates that he was using that tool.

The big "Browser Cleanup" banner in the screen grab in Paulotuatail's response led me to think that perhaps the Browser Cleanup component was involved in his complaint.  :)  We note also that he had been complaining that it couldn't be turned off.

This kind of confusion can happen in a thread where several people post questions/problems on different subjects.  I'm just responding to what's written...

All wrong assumptions.
The issue is related to a malicious extension (streamer) installed in Google Chrome responsible for these alerts.
Was reported in virus and worms, and took a Russian user quite some searching to get at the culprit of it.
Uninstall of the particular extension cures this behavior.

Not to put too fine a point on the phrase "wrong assumptions, but we can easily see that Paulotuatail posted screenshots of the Internet Explorer browser.  You might say that perhaps that malicious extension you mentioned might have an IE counterpart, though in a later post Paulotuatail reports he does not have any Add-ons besides Bing.

So that streamer issue could really be browser independent.
The issue was also mentioned on Russian forums
and confirmed to be solved by uninstalling that streaming agent.
