avast not updating

My avast mobile security claims it's virus definitions are up to date, even though it last updated three days ago. My latest version is 140909-02. This obviously shouldn't be possible, as the site clearly states that there have been quite a few updates since.  Any explanation as to what's happening to my device?

Issue reported as well today in the German language section of the avast!-forum. Confirmed by two users.

We've got three (3) phones in the U.S. all stuck on 140909-02 update as well.

In the meantime, my avast! Mobile Security app updated to the
version 140912-01
of the virus definitions.
Check out if this happened on your devices as well.
