avast 4 home running at boot-up! help!

when installing 4 home, i mistakenly checked the box indicating i wanted the virus scan to run during boot-up (thinking it meant for the initial boot-up only).  unfortunately, now everytime i boot-up, i have to wait for a full virus scan to run.  i can't figure out how to stop this from happening.  will i have to uninstall and reinstall, making sure to not check this box, or is there another, easier way?  thanks in advance for your help!

Schedule a boot time scanning again (right click the skin and choose the item).
You'll be asked to 'cancel' the previous scanning.
If it does not work, let us know.

I did this (after I was in Windows), as well as cancelled the scan that started running during system start-up (before I was in Windows).  Not sure which one actually did the trick, but the problem is no longer.  Thanks!
