Hello. Hope I can help you. I have contacted AOL about this problem and they offer little assistance.
Since AOL acts the "frontend" to the internet in addition to being an active browser, AOL tends to control things a bit more than I would like.
Lets try this. Go into AOL Settings...Web Options.
Add Avast into both the Local and Trusted internet zones. You will have to add
all 3 server addresses since the Avast updater may use any one of them. You can obtain them from
www.avast.com/i_kat_6.htmlDo you by chance have IE installed? If so, then close down AOL but leave the connection (minimize AOL to the tray), then try a manual update and let me know if this works.
