Youre still protected, NG is just enhancing the protection level about 30 percent according to internal tests from Avast.

I can see it starting up, like the whole desktop is running under virtualization, at login you can see it switch over, like goes black for fraction of a second, but I don't have extra icons.

If the Behavior Shield and the P2P Shield is still in Avast 2015.  It would be nice to have some access to them again.

Did you run the scan from the shortcut of main interface, or from the scan menu?

Ive got loads of failed events in event log since installing beta 2, its to do with my network and virtualbox, apache server says incorrect function, and unable to open logs, bonjour service terminated unexpected, IKE and AUTHIP failed to load ....the list goes on with upnp and other stuff related to network. This is why my pc is telling me to wait before the login appears, avast is meesing up the pc.
NTP doesn't seem to be working anymore either.

To Avast! Team:

In current version of Avast 2014 and previous of Avast when ever windows boot screen starts it says this "Protected by Avast!". I have an idea consider this as an idea/new feature. In Avast 2015 for Free/Internet/Premier versions when the windows boot screen starts can you show this as follows:

When windows boot screen start and for those people who have Avast Free installed: Message shows this "Protected by Avast! Free Antivirus".

For those people who have Avast Internet Security installed: Message shows this "Protected by Avast! Internet Security".

Same goes for Premier: When windows boot screen starts: Message shows this "Protected by Avast! Premier"

Same goes for Pro: When windows boot screen starts: Message shows this "Protected by Avast! Pro Antivirus"

This sounds pretty good to me :). Just an idea/new feature/suggestions from me.

Yours truely,

A very happy Avast! Free user for a very long time since Avast! 7 :)

If you have a 64 bit system, the message doesn't show at all.  I can only see the message on my 32 bit systems.

@bob3160: looking at source code, it should work also on 64-bit OSes (displaying own text during booting phase is quite a hack, so I'll check your OS), thanks
@Staticguy: this is possible, but displaying a msg during booting phase is very "limited" (i.e. text is only in EN language, no variations, etc.)

If the Behavior Shield and the P2P Shield is still in Avast 2015.  It would be nice to have some access to them again.
@TheDragonFly: Behavior Shield was removed in avast 2014 (it didn't bring as good results as we expected) and P2P/IM shields were integrated into file-system shield (unfortunatelly settings was removed for these shields).

is there supposed to be NG shortcuts on our desktops then?, I sont have any, all I have is safebrowse and avast.
@boe323, @Steven Winderlich: NG shurtcuts are created on the desktop only when NG machines are ready to use (i.e. they may be still preparing in the background, there was an error, or we didn't find paths to your web browsers... as I said, these NG icons are only for Beta2/RC, they'll not exist in final release).
