Hardware Virtualization?
« on: September 19, 2014, 11:03:02 PM »
Does anyone know where and how to enable hardware virtualization in a Dell Inspiron N5030?  ???
I looked for it in the BIOS and it wasn't there. I'd like to test the NG technology but can't.
My hardware virtualization in disabled.

Yes, I "did" use Google search. Not much help though.  ??? ::) ???

Which OS is it?

According to what pk said you dont need VT-X in win vista+ and all 32 bit systems. Its only required for windows 8 and all 64 bit systems.

So i guess if you have win7 32 bit then you should still get NG even if VT-X is disabled?

It's a Win7 x64.

It's a Win7 x64.

Now that maybe the problem.Because as pk said you need VT-X option manually turned on in BIOS on ALL 64 bit systems.

HP P6-2133W, Virtualization showed enabled in Bios, CPU-z shows CPU supports AMD-V, no NG in Avast 2015 beta 2 installer though, so I guess maybe not suppose to have it
