I'm thinking I should recreate my Avast database. I've been having issues with Avast backups scheduled thru AES failing lately. Also, whenever I need to delete any objects the entire AES console freezes and I need to end the task using task manager. But when I log back into AES, the object I wanted deleted is indeed gone. The Database tool won't let you create a new database unless you delete the old one first. I tried to recreate the database in SQL express, but the AES server won't start when I connect AES to the newly created SQL database. I need suggestions as to how to handle this issue. I'd rather not delete the old database, but point the new database to AES and restore the new database using a good old Database backup.
