Avast typically uses 50% of my CPU capacity when I'm on-line
« on: September 27, 2014, 07:30:11 PM »
Hi, can anyone tell me please if this is normal? Avast is using around 50% of my CPU capacity when I'm on-line; leaving little capacity for other processes and I freeze often. Is there a fix please? I'm using Vista on a laptop with a 2ghz processor. (If that's the right jargon...... :) )

It can be normal.
It depends on what you do online, the browser you are using, what sites you are visiting and many other things.

Please follow the instructions and attach the logs to your next post.
Let's see if we can find out if there are things that shouldn't be there.
