Still scanning when opening the app

I opened the app today and avast started scanning everything again on its own.  Is this ever going to be fixed?

Yes, I have the latest version.  Sometimes when you launch the app from the app drawer, avast starts scanning all your apps...and takes a couple minutes to complete.  In the past its been the privacy advisor.  Most recently, it is just scanning apps.  I just tried it again now.  It started scanning all apps again when I launched it from the app drawer.
