w2k server won't finish booting, it keeps restarting
« on: August 05, 2005, 04:42:51 AM »
After installing the server version of the anti virus, some worms where found in memory.
i then got a msg saying it was better to rebbot and let avast run during the boot scan.
i said no because i was busy . i did start a manual virus scan but it was running slow so i decided maybe it was better to rebbot.
once i restarted the machine it would never finish the restart.
it would get to the blue sceen as though it was building the desktop and then it would just restart again.
i tried to start in safe mode and in debugging mode and it does not want to boot.
PLEASE HELP ME BEFORE THE BOSS FINDS OUT.

Can't you copy the BSOD message and search the numbers at Google?
You should be able at least to boot to use the antivirus or, if not, you should have BART CD from Alwil, or Symantec Recovery Disk or whatever tool to scan and clean your computer booting from a CD.
