Rejzor has tried it so he might have some answers

I have read reports stating that the built-in backup in Windows doesn't always work very well.
I'm with Dch48 I have never had issues with "AOMEI Backupper". AOMEI has saved my backside
a couple of times. One advantage I like is even after doing a complete "disk backup" you have a
choice on which partition or partitions you want to restore. Or if you want to you can do incremental
backups. I don't know much about EaseUs to give an opinion.

Hi bob3160,

Also understood that MS with Windows10 has improved the updater. Often you set up and then the updates of that set-up are being installed later. Has anything changed there?

Do any of you think the partition that acer puts on their machines to go back to windows 8 (which microsoft said would be unuseable ::) ) Would windows 10 remove that partition or should i just use a old USB thing to make a backup of it (we already have one) and then delete the partition or just leave it be?
OS: Windows 11 64-bit
Webbrowser: Mozilla Firefox
PC Specs: Intel i5-12400f, Nvidia RTX 3050, 16gb ram, 1.5TB SSD(s).

Could someone please tell me how I can reserve the windows 10 upgrade.  I installed 120 windows updates but that didn't make the little windows icon show up in my taskbar.

Thank you.

Check out this link it will answer some questions http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-faq?faq=edition&ocid=reserve_r_PostReserve_mod1_faq

Don't forget to make a system image/disk backup "before" installing Win10.

Hi folks, Windows 10 is leaning more and more towards the Apple concept.
You may need this Microsoft-tool to block/hide certain updates or drivers when certain updates/drivers won't function properly on your system: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3073930
This will be necessary as updates with Windows 10 now will be enrolled completely automatically.
The troubleshooter package will also work on the definite version of Windows 10, according to Ed Bott: http://www.zdnet.com/article/microsoft-releases-tool-to-hide-or-block-unwanted-windows-10-updates/

Who is going to use this tool on his Windows 10? Anyone?

I'd rather follow this advice:
"By default, System Restore is turned off. If you re-enable this feature,
Windows resumes the practice of automatically creating a restore point
before installing each new batch of patches from Windows Update,
making it easier to roll back an entire batch of updates while you investigate which one is troublesome."

Hi there, will Microsoft auto update a new driver for the Nvidia graphics card, which my pc has aboard.

After updating from W8.1 > W10, will my wifi printer and wifi scanner work properly?

Kind regards, Hermie

I updated all my drivers before upgrading.
My Epson WIFI printer works fine on Windows 10.

Do I have to update ALL drivers before upgrading?
I assume that W10 will do the job, right?

Kind regards, Hermie

I still don't have the little windows icon yet.  I check for win updates everyday but they are all optional.  If I should decide to install win 10 in a few months how could I?
