New Build for Windows 10

https://blogs.windows.com/bloggingwindows/2015/06/29/announcing-windows-10-insider-preview-build-10158-for-pcs/

In this new build, includes a new feature called Microsoft Wi-Fi

http://www.neowin.net/news/microsoft-wi-fi-now-included-with-windows-10

Interesting , cool, and I'm sure attractive to some. For me, It's another feature I will never use. I don't have a Windows tablet and this desktop PC doesn't even have a wireless card in it. It would be nice for a laptop though.

I got 10162 through Windows Update today. The new welcome screen is much nicer and for the first time, my picture actually shows. It never did before when I set Windows to skip the lock screen and automatically log in. Now it does.

Edge is improved but still not enough for me to use it over IE. I don't like that the favorites can't be sorted and that tracking lists are still not available. You also can't change the search engine away from Bing. It is very smooth and fast though.

Classic Shell 4.2.2 fixes the issue with the Windows app list not showing.

Anyone else noticing that many "peripheral software" applications are Updating like crazy; obviously getting upgraded for Win 10.
My new HP ENVY just updated the BIOS, the Quick Pass module, Security components and all Factory Installed Cyberlink components I've chosen to keep installed.
Going to be a busy 3 weeks prior to July 29th. :)

I was surprised by the BIOS update, as the laptop in New. I'm sure there will be more updates for peripheral software installations coming in the next weeks.

BIOS shouldn't be an issue, it's not something that is related to an OS, my last BIOS was in 2011/2012 to update thermal policies.

@schmidthouse, yes most of my peripheral software's have been updated for Win10 compatibility, Nvidia graphics - Realtek Audio, Ethernet an Card Reader - Fresco Logic USB 3 host controller.

On top of them is the program updates for our AV's, malware scanners, Garmin, iTunes etc etc etc

New and updated are two different terms. My new Laptop required lot's of updates. It had Windows 8.1 but had never been updated.
Your computer and mine were new as of the day they put the thing together. No telling how long it sat on a shelf.
