Would this work?

Yes. I use Western Digital 2 TB external HDD from Staples.
You can also buy them at your local Wal-Mart or other big box stores.
They cost around $70 to $100 (US).
Dell Inspiron, Win10x64--HP Envy Win10x64--Both systems Avast Free v17.9.2322, Comodo Firewall v8.2 w/D+, MalwareBytes v3.0, OpenDNS, Super Anti-Spyware, Spyware Blaster, MCShield, Unchecky, Vivaldi Browser and, various browser security tools.

This can be very temperamental regardless of which webcam you use.
I ran into a problem when the amount of light differed from the original sample.
A strong password is still your best bet if you really require protection.
In my home, I'm the only person accessing the computer. I set it up to not require a password on my Desktop computer.

That is only an enclosure or case that you have to put a hard drive into. It does not come with one.

That's correct.
When I viewed the link it was obvious there was no Capacity stated.

If it is luck you need, then you seem to have plenty of that.  How old exactly is that Millennium system?  Interested to hear how this will turn out.

Microsoft's upgrade app won't let GeForce GTX 980 Ti owners reserve Windows 10

Yes, I realize this affects only a minute few of potential Windows 10 upgrade users, but this needs to be posted.

From what I've read, this will be resolved by 7/29/2015. :)
