Well, -midnight, I would not worry too much, as they would start from June 29th henceon and to cover all these upgrades surely will take their servers some time. As I said in an earlier posting I read that it is better to wait a while to see how the new windows is being accepted, there are now loads of users crying the new Windows 10 updates resulting in BSODs via a lousy Nvidia back-up resulting in a Blue Screen of Death! There are more reasons to continue to work Win 8.1 and even Vista (supported as to 2017) and you can wait for the free update until later in the year and the bugs has shown.
Better wait for Windows 10 service pack 1 - I am joking, but better wait a bit.
9 Reasons to wait a bit
1. - look you meet the specifications:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-specifications2. You can upgrade one year long.
3. You are on Windows 7.
4. You use the Win 7 desktop gadgets.
5. From Windows Vista you will still have years of full support.
6. You use smart files with OneDrive.
7. You use old peripherals.
8. You like Windows Media Center.
9. You do not like to experience the growing pains of Windows 10.
And another reason, we aren't all bob3160's that rush into using new things right away.
