Windows 10 banned by torrent trackers due to privacy concerns

If I were sharing things that might not be exactly legal to share, I'd be concerned too.
To me this isn't a reason to not install Windows 10. I have it on 6 computers and laptops at home. :)

Most people fear its ability to detect hacked/cracked software and its ability to disable them, not the privacy concern ;)

No wonder torrent sources are concerned.

Not everything that comes via torrent is cracked/hacked or otherwise illegal. I'll have to check my torrent sites to see if they still work.

The problem with downloading anything from one of those sites is that you have no way of knowing if what you're getting from there isn't something that will infect your system.
Why go to a torrent site when there are alternatives.

@bob3160
Does your Windows 8.1 or 7 key become invalid after 30 days of having Windows 10 installed?

@bob3160
Does your Windows 8.1 or 7 key become invalid after 30 days of having Windows 10 installed?
Since you have 30 days after the upgrade to roll back to your previous version, the answer is no.
Once upgrade to Windows 10, you no longer need a key. Your registration or validation is embedded with your system.

I have already re-installed Windows 10 on this computer to clear up a problem after a rollback from the preview release 10525
from a USB I had created for that function and any new installs.

Sometimes, there are no alternatives. I have never gotten infected from a torrent download. I have gotten some false positives from my AV though and a few PUP detections which were harmless.

So here is something strange, at least new to me.
Screenshot 1 show Windows updating at 56%
And Screenshot 2 show the component being updated and reads "waiting for download". Ths component is "Synaptics- Point Drawing- Synaptics SMBus Touchpad. (Not a MS update)

The strange part is, it's been like that since the updates on Aug 27 I'm assuming since I noticed 2 days ago.
So wonder how/if that will effect future updates if it doesn't clear itself.

Anyone see anything like this on their W10 updates? ???

Try a reboot and then force it to check for updates again.
Are you on Insider build updates or not ?
