My observation over the years is that MS has had to "push" every OS change; albeit some more then others.
Change just isn't easy, especially when it's continuous, I mean MS just introduce W8 then 8.1 then W10 and so on.
Impossible for People let alone Enterprise users/subscribers to keep up with that crap. ::)

MS are kidding themselves if they think this kind of FUD will push Enterprise or end users into getting win10. Those how were going to get it for the most part already have, others waiting for the win10 SP1 (or equivalent) to arrive will still wait.

I think a lot of people really are waiting to see what direction win10 moves.

I read something else about new System On Chip (SOC) processors are more likely to be found on tablets and phones and that must mean windows phone (and that has a very small market share. If windows phone drops any further it may disappear completely, so much of this work will be wasted.

I think system builders won't be pleased about the lack of processor support, etc. as that isn't going to help sell new systems until these new processors are more common and reasonably priced (meaning time).

ARM Support will come with Redstone :)

But the way MS is pushing Windows 10 and other deices from them is ridiculous.

I don't see any FUD involved. It makes sense to me. Especially since the people most interested in the new processors will be gamers and the great majority of them have already moved to Windows 10. I can also see those people interested in things like the holo lens and 3D printing going to the more powerful processors. Once again, those people will almost certainly be running Windows 10. Windows 10 is the future, there's no going back or even holding on.

By the way, Windows phones have been gaining market share, not dropping. Windows Phone is, to me and many others, better than Android or iOS.

One of the best things about the Windows Phone OS is that no AV protection is needed at all. It's far more secure than Android.
