I've seen some posts from people who have had a problem with win 10 and avast.
Not anything that an update hasn't cured.

Microsoft has moved their upgrade to Windows 10 offer to a "recommended update".
If you have your update settings set to "automatically download and install updates (as recommended)",
then Windows 10 will be downloaded and SET TO UPGRADE AUTOMATICALLY unless you click to change the date or cancel the upgrade.
See image below:

Please go to this link: Windows 10 Upgrade and read the whole story on how to deal with this new procedure.
If you just click the "X" it's the same as saying "OK" to the  scheduled time for the upgrade.

We knew this was coming and in my opinion most people, especially those already on 8.1, should upgrade. My partner's computer has Win 7 32 bit and gets updates automatically. However, we have already been told that it can not be upgraded to 10. The incompatibility is in the graphics chipset which it says the manufacturer has not made compatible with Windows 10. It has the old Nvidia 7050 integrated graphics. I have seen that the only way to upgrade the machine would be to use a disc or USB installation media and then download the Nvidia driver from February of 2015. We're not going to do that.

My Win 7 laptop does not automatically update.

I've had the weather channel installed on all of my computers for years.  It still works on my win 7 computer but on my win 10 computers when I clicked on the temp in the task bar yesterday I got this.  I did upgrade but I hate it.

I installed weather bug ran a malwarebytes scan and it found 105 pup's so I uninstalled it.

I wish now that I hadn't upgraded my win 8.1 computer to win 10.

It should already be there when you install Win10

click the windows start button > all apps > and find it in the list

If not, see first link i posted ... the blue button > Get the app >  Then in lower left corner, the magnifying glass search for "MSN Weather"

@pondus,

I want to get MSN weather but I can't find out how to install it.
It's part of Windows 10 - Nothing to get:

After the update to the latest build, Avast was missing from the system tray.
Manually launching the UI gave me the following error:

I'm currently trying a repair.
A repair seems to have fixed the problem:

I've lost track. When is the Redstone release slated for now?

As for the Weather Channel, yes they did change their page and it is quite different but still usable in my opinion. The Windows app isn't bad but still not as good to me.
