You seem to forget that I'm not in front of your computer.
I have no clue what's running on your computer, what the past history is of the computer,
what version of the programs and operating system are etc, etc, etc.
This sounds like something that needs some hands on cleaning and fine tuning.
Not something that can be done via trial and error.
Normally this is accomplished in some basic steps.
1 Update - Operating System and all programs
2 Clean up - Get rid of all old stuff no longer used and eliminate any unneeded programs that run at startup
3 Speed up. - Windows offers an excellent speedup ( optimization ) utility -
