A little tip for those planning to upgrade to Windows 10 v1809.
I have an old Toshiba Satellite with limited storage space which I upgraded to Windows 10.
I now received a warning that I don't have sufficient storage space on the HD for the upgrade to 1809.
USB drive to the rescue.

If you cannot free up enough space on the primary drive to upgrade to Windows 10,
you can attach a USB key (16GB or greater) or an external USB hard drive to the computer to finish the upgrade.
Once you have attached a USB storage device, when the "Windows needs more space" screen appears,
select the drive letter for the USB key or USB hard drive to continue with the installation.

Updating to Windows 10 1809 Deactivates Built-in Admin Account
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/updating-to-windows-10-1809-deactivates-built-in-admin-account/
Unfortunately there aren't any statistics as to how often this happens.
It isn't anything I've personally experienced.

Well that is just fine, after the disaster with the version update and it being pulled and released. I'm still on 1803 (waiting on 1809) and there has just been a cumulative update for 1803.

That will only work as long as they still sufficient insiders to do a valid test of the release. :)

This is really another failure on Microsoft's part, when you consider the opening statement in this report.

Quote from: Extract from zdnet article
Microsoft will reserve 7GB of your device's storage to resolve a Windows 10 bug thrown up by Windows Update not checking whether a PC has enough storage space before launching after big updates.

I would have thought the lessor of two evils would have been, first 'bloody check' and inform.  all this would potentially be doing is removing storage from those systems that are already short.

All Windows 10 Mobile Support likely to end in December 2019     :'(

No big surprise, they never gained any significant market share.

I wonder how that will play out for the windows tablets, that market share can't be very great.  Even for the supposed windows version.

The Windows App Store must be getting pretty bare.

If I remember correctly the big change in the regular full fat Windows OS to the Tiled Interface was meant to unify (read promote) the look/feel across all platforms.
