@bob3160  I have restarted and it's still activated
:) What's your current version? if it's not 1809, go ahead and use the update option or,
wait another month or less and update to the next release.

Interestingly, I have never had 1809 offered nor sat awaiting restart, etc.  Even a check of windows update reports 1803 is fully up to date.

I remember it took an eternity for my system to have 1803 offered/installed.

Think I'll install the spring creators update.  Will back up my settings first and create a system restore point.

Windows is activated again

Windows 10 News App Blunder Made Users Think They're Infected

Certainly not seen by all Microsoft users. This is the first I've heard of this.
I've never seen it on any of the computers I access.

You don't need to pay for an extended warranty to get the license you paid for when you originally bought the computer.
In any case, this is a problem that can only be addressed by Dell. No sense continuing to post here.

Improving the Windows 10 update experience with control, quality and transparency
https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexperience/2019/04/04/improving-the-windows-10-update-experience-with-control-quality-and-transparency/
My cynical reply to this that Microsoft wasn't able to complete the scheduled update ontime and that headline was a great way
to not be blamed for not having the April 2019 update available on time. :)
