I still don't have the update mentioned in this post. :)
Maybe it's waiting for Tuesday to send it to me ???

I never understood the idea of patch Tuesday as not everyone can get it on Tuesday given the user base for all supported versions of windows. This can only be harder when we are talking about feature updates.

The MS update servers must be absolutely massive.

Absolutely huge when you consider all of those * asterisks in the list in that article.  I'm sure MS also used (or used to use) other companies for update delivery, Akamai cloud distribution services comes to mind.

Just received the 2019-06 Accumulative update KB4501375 on both machines.
 Seems odd on a Friday.
The update was also unusually lengthy it seemed.
Maybe it's just me. :-\
Not just you.  Updates are now appearing whenever MS wants them to.

In addition, this update hung, it downloaded to 100% but never began to install.  So, I rebooted and then it started installing.  And, like you, it took a while to complete, over an hour, easily double the usual time.

Reboot being required in the middle of doing a security update was unusual, to say the least.

Microsoft Rolls Out Windows 10 1903 on April 2018 Update Devices
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/microsoft-rolls-out-windows-10-1903-on-april-2018-update-devices/

Just checked for updates and got the notification Windows 10 1903 is on its way.  I have been waiting for this for a long time.

Now it is preparing to download.

EDIT:
Well didn't get far with that, all it bloody downloaded was another cumulative update for 1803.

Only to be told that Windows 10 1903 is on its way BUT your device isn't quite ready for it.  No reason why it isn't ready yet.  Once your device is ready you'll see the update available on this page.  There's nothing you need to do at this time.

Wouldn't it be bloody wonderful if they stated "your device isn't quite ready for it" or why there isn't anything the user needs to do.  Bloody driving me insane, total bonkers.

Thanks for that, although my German can get me by ordering food and drink, but thanks to my friend Google Translate.

I think I have read something similar, certainly about external USB drives and I haven't got any of those.

It just makes me mad when they tell you that your device isn't ready, doesn't tell you why and then says you don't have to do anything.  I've been getting this sort of cr4p since 1803, I didn't get 1809 and now hassle with 1903, infuriating.

That certainly hasn't been my experience, just used the check for updates and zero change from my last experience.

Just received a "cumulative update" 07/19 (KB4505903) on a Saturday near the end of a month no less.
Seems they come anytime nowadays.

At least you have 1903, for me the saga continues.
