Windows 10 Upgrades Blocked if Using Old Versions of AVG, Avast
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/windows-10-upgrades-blocked-if-using-old-versions-of-avg-avast/
https://support.avast.com/en-ww/article/253

I would have to wonder if/why AVG/Avast antivirus software is singled out in this article (I didn't notice any references to other software), I would have thought that all AVs would be effected by this change by Microsoft (rot win10 OS updates) if the user is running out of date software.
I'd be leaning more toward a bias on the part of the author. :(

I was leaning that way, as I didn't notice any similar posts (in bleeping computers) about other AV Programs.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.2.6105 (build 24.2.8918.824) UI 1.0.799/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

If there was bias, it would seem to be coming from Microsoft since Mr. Abrams was reporting specific warnings from the OS provider. These warnings have also been provided by Avast, as shown in the second link from Asyn.

The second link from Asyn has to do with Windows 10 v 1903.

Any Windows Beta Tester here??

Did you notice that when ever you search for  something at explorer it does not show what you are typing? or am the only one experiencing it?

I know that particular site mentioned above @BleepingComputer  does not recommend Avast At all,  I posted a topic there a long ways back on a PC issue I was having,  one of the first replies after I mentioned which Antivirus I was using on the system,  was to Drop Avast Free and just use Defender.    In fact one of the moderators there has a whole topic on why he doesn't recommend Avast, (should be easy to find in one of the topics there)

I've decided a ways back to keep my systems on Avast Free, as I trust it more,  it works well for my needs,  sure I tried Defender briefly in the past, but in the end choose Avast Free for the household systems here

Microsoft Pushes Windows 10 Autopilot Update by Mistake, How to Remove
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/microsoft-pushes-windows-10-autopilot-update-by-mistake-how-to-remove/
While this update had no harmful effect, it is not necessary.
If it got to your computer, it isn't going to adversely effect your system.

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/microsoft-pushes-windows-10-autopilot-update-by-mistake-how-to-remove/

These MS pushing Updates that shouldn't be is becoming more common.

Like a reasonably recent Update that was pushed to those on Win10 Home, despite MS having said this update wouldn't be pushed to Win10 Home.  Whilst these cock-ups might be considered serious or potentially harmful it doesn't fill the user with confidence.

To stop any confusion, 2004 refers to 2020 April (04). Still going forward not backward. :)
