@

@DavidR and Asyn,

Thank you for you for your help. even though this is ready to download and install  I won't be installing it in the near future. I've never heard of Memory Integrity Protection so I wouldn't know how to turn it off.

Here's you answer, https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/104025-turn-off-core-isolation-memory-integrity-windows-10-a.html
As David already mentioned, a simple google search is usually all it takes.

You're welcome.

1.  If you had the said 'memory integrity protection' (without knowing) then MS should have given the message 'that your system isn't ready for this update' or words to that effect.

I didn't get a message

If you didn't get the message, then guess what, it should mean you haven't got that problem.

What is with all of the blank lines you are putting in your recent posts  ?
It makes reading a pain, scrolling like a crazy thing, not to mention removing all that cr4p when responding to your posts.

I don't know what's causing it.

Well it isn't happening in this post, a good idea before posting is to use the preview function.

Windows 10 Start Menu promo for Microsoft Edge can't be disabled
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/windows-10-start-menu-promo-for-microsoft-edge-cant-be-disabled/

When are marketers going to realise that ramming ads/promotions down peoples throats has a negative effect also, especially when there is no way to stop it.

Hell Edge is installed by default, if people want/ed to use it they already would.  Pushing what is already installed, is free, in a product (Windows) that the user has paid for (the OS) stinks even more.

Do you normally sign into your computer when it starts with your Microsoft password? if so, then the answer is yes.

Users will only see the message/AD if they still have the old Edge version installed, on security merits and web compliance the new Edge should be installed by default imo

You sign into your computer with a password unless you disabled it.
That password can be your Microsoft account password or another password.

Never a good idea to use your name as a password, as that is essentially what you are doing.

Mine requires an email address followed by a Password.
