I'm updating my 21H1 version with 'Cumulative Update Preview' KB5003214
The download has ceased 3 times, has shown download percentage at 100% 3 times and Installing percentage at 100% twice but then dropping to lower percentage and continuing.

The whole update process has been going on for 2.5 hours now,

Not streamlines at all. Very inconsistent!   :-\
I had one of the 4 computers that I updated that took 4 hrs. The other 3 took less than 1 hr. each.

Having seen some of the times taken, I have been in no rush to put myself through that, so I have been waiting.

Well I checked a little while ago and behold it was there awaiting download, so I bit the bullet and initiated the update.  It got to 100% download (only once) very quick and I initiated the restart and it started doing its business and it progressed at a reasonable pace no pauses all the way through to restart.

Now waited with baited breath to see how the initialising/finalising came and went very quickly it booted into windows proper.

All in all I doubt if it took more than 4 minutes, very happy camper.

I had that in April, but haven't seen an updated version of 3057.
I don't know if this might have been included as part of the cumulative updates on 11/06/2021.

Windows 10’s optional update feature is broken - Here’s why
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/windows-10-s-optional-update-feature-is-broken-here-s-why/

Well that crazy system, would certainly impact me (and millions of others) as I have an optional update for Drivers.

The worst part is perhaps the wording "If you have a specific problem, one of these drivers might help. Otherwise, automatic updates will keep your drivers up to date."  Well as far as I know I don't have a problem.

But it is totally useless as it shows 16 and I haven't a clue what might be current or the latest as there appear to be duplicates (Intel has 9 driver updates listed).  Personally I'm very wary of updating drivers as this really can be a recipe for disaster, more so it seems when Microsoft is concerned.

I just posted the optional update. I have no clue what BleepingComputer is complaining about.
Asyn, since you posted the article, do you have any input? Do you actually read these articles or just pass them along?

I'm not sure which one (post) you are on about here Bob, as there are two related bleeping computer win10 optional updates. The first link, is presumably the one you were talking about about MS offering 3057 (as an optional update, presumably for those experiencing issues).

Asyn's post that you quoted (above your last post) is the second article, about the fact that the Optional Updates function is in effect broken if you have a prior optional update, no others are displayed.

However the second bleeping computer link (Asyn's) shows if you already have another optional update, you won't see any other optional updates, (e.g. bloody broken).

To me they looked like the same items.
If I was mistaken, I apologize.
