Why is this still being detected ?

What is worse is that if you select yes, you wind up with a choice of either
Yahoo or Bing as your default.  :'(

Hi gordon451,

That is why very early on in the avast! install we have to choose custom install so we will not be confronted with choices between Scylla and Charybdis or as you say a stone (Google) and a hard rock (Yahoo or Bing). I cannot do without the shields and the software updater, but I have always leaned down GrimeFighter that I consider to be "nag-ware". And in the Google Browser i have some additional extensions that play nicely alongside avast's browser protection: DrWeb URL scan, BitDefender's TrafficLight, Netcraft and WOT.
I also commit to WOT under another nick. i am against disabling the avast! cloud function for instance, but also like to tweak the additionals to suit me best.

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

This apparently only happens if you're using Chrome as your default browser.
Strange since Chrome is the browser that Avast suggests and installs unless you decline.
