Which has better performance, Avast free or Premium?

I have been using Avast Free and it has not caused my pc to become slow. So I have been satisfied.

I want to upgrade to Avast Premium, but I don't know how much more resources (Ram memory and processor) it will use in comparison to Avast Free.

Could anyone provide me this information?

It should use slightly more because of additional firewall component not found in Free and Pro version. But as far as I remember it, it was pretty light and only used up a bit more RAM and probably few CPU cycles for packet processing. Other than that you shoudln't really notice much difference between one or another version.
