Avast Web Shield (2015) blocking HTTP again.
« on: October 22, 2014, 06:34:12 AM »
I know this has happened in the past, but it seems Avast 2015 Web Shield is blocking all internet traffic. I can't load any web pages unless Web Shield is turned off.

I'm Running Avast 2015 Premier.

EDIT: I apologize for the double post. The page did not load after I submitted.

The page loading is sometimes bugged here, they still need to fix that...

Are you using any other securit program with avast! by any chance? Also, are you using any other program that may influence the connection on your system or if you happen to use a proxy?

No I am not. As soon as Avast was upgraded to 2015, I starting having the web issues. The only way I can browse is when Web Shield is disabled. This happened before when Avast upgraded to 2014. I had to wait for another program update before I could use the Web Shield again.

Does it happen with all browsers?

I'd recommend clean install.

All browsers. About to do a clean install. I'll report back.
