Avast didn't register with action center

I am on my dad's computer updating a few things for him.. I updated avast to 2015 and I noticed avast didn't register with the action center instead it turned windows defender on.. Any ideas?
OS: Windows 11 64-bit
Webbrowser: Mozilla Firefox
PC Specs: Intel i5-12400f, Nvidia RTX 3050, 16gb ram, 1.5TB SSD(s).

Should I uninstall and reinstall or what I don't know what to do in this situation..

Initally disable all shields for a few minutes and see if that cures it.  If not then run a repair.  Windows security centre is just throwing a wobbly :)

I just ran virus def update after your post and it fixed the issue..

Hi,
have you restarted the PC just after the update. There might be a short period when Avast is unregistered from the Windows Security Center, but restart fixes this.
