How to opt out of data gathering?

"If after installing this product, you'd prefer not to participate in this data gathering, you can opt-out later by changing this option in the settings."

Where is the opt-out setting? Thanks.

I'm assuming Avast Community? It's located under general settings. see attachment

Assume Avast Free for the sake of argument.

I agree with Charyb - I read that as unchecking the [ ] Participate in the Avast community box.
