updated avast and windows 8.1 will not load
« on: October 26, 2014, 12:04:42 AM »
Hi,
I've got avast premier and just updated. When the update completed, I followed the prompt to reboot and I get the following error: Attempted Execute of Noexecute Memory

I'm a rookie with both avast and windows 8 but I can get to the command prompt. Sadly I don't have a restore point...

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I resolved it. Turns out the hard drive was too full. I was able to start in safe mode, clear some space and run the avast repair utility. All seems to be working fine.

Cheers.

Glad you solved your problem.
It sounds like it might be time for a larger HD. :)
