Hi I just started to use Avast Antivirus 2015 and just wanted to share what I think can be improved from my initial experience.
- 4 shortcuts can be added on the homescreen. Given the many features, 8 would be more appropriate in 2 rows.
- I see a shortcut to 'Quick Scan' but I miss a shortcut directly to 'Scan for viruses' window.
- Browser cleanup seems unfinished:
1. 'ignored addons' are still shown without a clear separator, or maybe a grayed/red color on them.
2. It says my "Internet browser" has a search provider with poor reputation, Action: Clean-up all my browsers.
- Given I have 5 browsers, which browser is it speaking about? and which search provider is it speaking about? - I cannot clean 5 browsers, reset all, for a single maybe false-positive search provider (which Avast did not tell me the name).
3. Only Internet Explorer, and Firefox are detected. Opera etc.. are not.
- I don't really understand the hierarchy between 'File System shield', 'Explorer scan', 'Smart scan', 'Screensaver scan'.
Which one is the root/global or precedes the others? (I would assume File System shield). If I need to check the boxes to generate reports, can I do it a single time (or 4 times)?
