Which .exe to Virus Check Downloaded Files
« on: August 22, 2005, 06:47:05 PM »
In order to ensure all downloaded files are checked automatically by a virus checker the path name must be entered in the download manager's "Virus scanner program to use" but I do not know which .exe file in the avast folder to use.

Can anyone assist please?

The program module used for checking the downloads in the download managers is ashQuick.exe  ;)

Assuming that you installed avast! in the default folder, this is the path needed to scan downloads, C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashQuick.exe
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.762) UI 1.0.801/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security
