I've been using avast for many years now and have installed it multiple times on a variety of machines.
So imagine my surprise when I ran the installer on a machine that I had (just) reformatted today and didn't get a Windows popup asking whether I wanted to install the avast driver. The machine is running 8.1, and has had avast installed on it many times before. As a matter of fact, it had just been reformatted the day before and avast installed as it normally does, popup and all, but had to reformatted again today due to an error.
Is this normal behavior? Is there a reason why I wouldn't see the driver installation popup from Windows during the avast installation despite having it occur every other installation before?
