AVAST sanboxing items that need to be allowed to run
« on: October 29, 2014, 03:41:52 PM »
My users are getting a popup when I push out changes/updates to their machines. These are usually batch files coming from a network share zia Novell ZENWorks. The Sandbox popup asks them how they want to handle the program. We usually tell them to select open normally and check remember this choice. But it keeps happening. Is there a way I can make changes and push it out to all the users to either exclude this network share from the sandbox scanning, or just remove the sandbox feature all together? I have the Admin Console installed and is working, so I can push changes our through that if there is a way.

I don't see any screens that look like that. I only see the enterprise admin console.

Open your Avast Enterprise Administration console:

Computer Catalog -> (right click) -> Properties -> File System Shield

Yes, all the settings you define in the console will be delivered, automatically, to the Avast clients PCs.

I recently started playing with the SafeZone feature of Avast Business.  I'm considering rolling it out to end users.  However, I can't find the settings for it in the AEA console.  I see the Autosandbox features under the File Shield.  I also see the Sandbox settings.

However, I don't see anything pertaining to the SafeZone.  When configuring the SafeZone on a client, it says that it's controlled through the "Sandbox Expert settings".  None of the settings I'm seeing in the SafeZone configuration on the client appear on the AEA console settings for either Sandbox or Autosandbox.

Anyone know where to configure the SafeZone settings on AEA?
