Remote unattended uninstall of Avast Endpoint Protection
« on: November 05, 2014, 10:26:12 PM »
We are moving away from Avast Endpoint Protection to another product as directed by our corporate office. I'm looking for a way to uninstall Avast Endpoint Protection for client computers without user interaction being required. I found and downloaded the avastclear.exe removal tool, but this requires either hands on for each client computer or user interaction. I do use the Small Office Administration Console to deploy Avast, but I don't see any way to uninstall using the console. I'm guessing that there isn't an easy way to do this without either touching each client computer or without guiding users on how to uninstall. Please let me know if there are any options. Thanks.

You can create uninstall jobs in both SOA and EA management consoles.

The job is SOA in available in: avast! SOA > JOBS > Scheduler > Create new job > Details > Job type: Deployment and Job selected: Uninstall avast! protection.

Thank you very much. I must have overlooked that option.
