Hi,

Just updated Avast, and now I am having the same problem. Web shield is slowing the chatango chat box on my site until it is unable to load, just the flash version.

If this isn't fixed soon I'm afraid I'll have to find a new av.

Hi. Same problem here.
Maybe it's about each flash app which have file storage acces.
It's frustating that Avast team didn't answer more than one month after this topic creation.

Hi, thanks for bug report.
Unfortunately, we are not able to reproduce this issue in our environment - tested with latest avast 10.0.2008.712 and with FF/Chrome/IE on Win7x86/Win7x64/Win8x64.
Do you have any steps to reproduce it ? Could you send us some screenshot ? Or screenshot from developers tools (press Ctrl+Shift+I in google chrome and then reproduce the problem) should help.

Anyway, the spotify issue has been fixed a month ago.

Thanks and sorry for your troubles.

Sorry i have no step by step to explain it.
What i could just tell too you : I had just install my Windows 7 64 pro.
The latest Firefox (34.0),  latest Avast 2015.10.0.2208.
Avast is in his default configuration.
I tried with and without (activated/desactivated) every firefox plugin i had.

Windows update is up to date too.

Thanks for the reply.

Using Firefox or Chrome, Win 7 64 bit-

If I go to any website that has a chatango chatbox embedded in the site, the chatbox will hang and never fully load. If I disable the web shield of Avast, the chatbox will then load fine.

Here is a Chrome screenshot from my site at www.nngo.biz, let me know if you need any other information.

The new build is not just blocking chatango but various email portals and even preventing a log-in with certificate to my country official website for employment. Totally ridiculous if you ask me.  :-\
And when you disable the web shield once and browse those pages it cannot be turned on again for some reason.

Hi Merithyn,
I suppose the "country official website" uses client authentication (certificates) ? We are currently investigating problems where client certificates are involved and are working on a fix.

Regarding the email portals that won't work. Could you name a few? Thanks a lot, we are looking into these issues one by one.

Lukas.

I think this bug is already forgotten.
More than one month i could not properly use a service.
I have no choice, it's time to jump to another antivirus.

Yep, but it's too late. I removed Avast.
It's a bug which is on the board since one month. Due too this bug, I could not use a service correctly.
"Ok my Avast version is free" and we could not have the same quality of service as a customer support . But take more than a month to correct a bug, this kind of bug, it's not serious for me... Or Avast community not taking us seriously.

As a member of the Avast community and the Avast support Forum, all I can do is report your problem to a Moderator.
That's been done. I don't use the service that's giving you a problem but. can confirm that there is a problem.
