I could not
simulate
the troubles again (I won't remove msdos.sys and config.sys from the exclusion list again) but I have to report some instabilities in Windows XP. Like other users (
http://www.avast.com/forum/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=1593
and
http://www.avast.com/forum/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=1467
) my system is unstable now, specially resuming from 'standby' and 'hybernation'... CPU useage goes to 100% and the system freezes... Only hardware reset (boot) works... not even CRTL+ALT+DEL...
I'm not sure what is causing this, so, by now, I cannot say anything to avast! team related to the new version 4.1.289... I'll keep reporting
