« on: November 06, 2014, 03:06:03 AM »
Hello guys,

In avast 2015, where could I change the time interval to update the info of my avast instalation to the "my avast" website?

Thanks!

Perhaps if you'd be more specific about what it's doing that you don't like people will be able to make more suggestions.

How do you have the settings shown in the attached image configured?

Hello!

Thanks for your reply.

I will try to make myself more clear.

The update setting that I refer, is related to the time interval used by avast to submit information to my avast website. Its not related to the update of the program or virus definition.
In version 2014, this setting was available in the Account Tab of the settings area. Together with the inputs of email / password of the account you want to be connected.

Now, in version 2015, you only have the inputs (textboxs) of email / password of the account you want to be connected.

Thanks for your time!

Hello!

Here is the setting I am talking about on 2014 version.
Its Update Frequency for "Report Program Status To The Avast Account".
I cant find it in 2015 version.

There isn't any time or frequency setting. When you click on Account, you're connected to your account.

You can still set the update time by modifying the "avast5.ini".
Path: see picture - top line.
You might have to switch off the selfdefence of avast (settings/troubleshooting) and/or modify "Windows User Account" for the modification of "avast5.ini"

Good luck!

Hello all!

Thanks for your replies.

I will check if when an event happens in a device with avast, the info for each device changes in real time at my avast website.
Otherwise I will try to change the setting as Jrace explained.

Thanks for your time!
