Dear community;
Which version of Avast did I need to scan files via command line using Avast?
All information I found is very old.

The C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\ashQuick.exe is still the file to be called; presumably to scan a download in a browser ?
If not can you explain what it is you are trying to do ?

As far as I know there is no command line scanner for years in avast free.

ashquick is the quick scanner, not the command line scanner, that is ashcmd

That is correct, the command line scanner function is only in the Pro/Paid options - that was going to be my next question
