I feel the patch will be released as soon as they are 100% sure it is good

Patience is a virtue

I hope it will be released before the end of the day.

Just to have on record...........
* Is the update only going to be for V10/2015 ?
* Does it only affect Window 8.x ?
* Is there any incompatibility (driver change) needed for V9/2014 ?

I know the thread centers around one KB & W8.1 but want to know scope of what Avast sees and is changing.

Hi guys, if you want to force your machines to apply the patch sooner, you can sign-out and then sign in again into Windows. The Emergency updating task will get started shortly after sign on.

To verify the patch has been already applied, you can check the version info of aswsnx.sys driver (inside C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\ folder).

The patched one has:
File Version: 10.0.2208.722

Thats weird. Will 'fully patched clean install' coming out?

All patches are also automatically applied during avast installation process.

When you install online/offline version, it always checks all available patches before finishing installation process (it executes AvastEmUpdate.exe process to check & download those patches).

Can I direct your attention to this thread for business customers:  https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=160789.0

...my version of that file is 8.0.1603.399 and we are still definately experincing the issues...

I've tried updating but avast keeps reporting I'm up-to-date. I've also tried manually running AvastEmUpdate.exe but still nothing, version says: 10.0.2208.712

Can we download the patch and apply manually?
