Had Kaspersky Before, Now can't install Avast!

I'm having the same problem as the gentleman from this post. By using the terminal and typing "kextstat" I found that I have the following files:

com.kaspersky.kext.klif
com.kaspersky.nke

When I attempt to delete the files by typing for example "rm com.kaspersky.nke" I get the message "No such file or directory". I have a feeling I may be doing something wrong.

I have already deleted the following:

/Library/Extensions/klif.kext
/Library/Extensions/klnke.kext

And I am still getting the "Incompatible software detected" message. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated; This problem is keeping me from having my Mac secure!

After literally hours of researching and wasting time, I found a solution that included using the (VERY) hidden Kaspersky removal tool for Mac (for some reason I could never find it for Mac, it seemed that only a Windows version existed).

Needless to say it worked with no problem and seemed to be an even better solution than the one from the other topic.
