Avast 2014.90.2021 Throwing JavaScript Runtime Error
« on: October 28, 2014, 03:54:06 AM »
When developing WordPress websites in Visual Studio 2013 on Windows 8.1 Avast is throwing an invalid procedure call or argument JavaScript runtime error breaking on this statement:

...
avastBHO.SERPWatcherOnReadyState();
...

I've attempted to configure Active Protection > Web Shield > Exclusions: http://localhost/* and http://127.9.9.1/*

Ans I've also disabled Script scanning for Internet Explorer and configured Script exclusions > URLs to exclude http://localhost/* and http://127.9.9.1/* but the JavaScript runtime error continues to occur when I attempt to load the website in IE using Debug mode in Visual Studio 2013.

This runtime error does not occur in any other browsers when debugging with Visual Studio 2013.

I hope somebody has a recommendation how to enable me (us) to debug when needing to use IE for website development and testing
