when my wife uses her laptop on wifi how can i stop avast poping up and saying warning threat has been detected thanks :'(

Almost always this sort of pop-up is a valid detection, and means avast! is protecting you from harm.

Can you attach a screenshot of the pop-up for us to see?

if this happens when not doing anything, you may have something in your computer trying to connect to a bad URL/IP

hi i ran malwarebytes and it found some so all right now . thanks for your help

MBAM won't have targetted the entire infection. Unless you lik remnants, I would suggest you attach FRST
