when my wife uses her laptop on wifi how can i stop avast poping up and saying warning threat has been detected thanks

Hi thevinery,
Almost always this sort of pop-up is a valid detection, and means avast! is protecting you from harm.
Can you
attach
a screenshot of the pop-up for us to see?

MBAM won't have targetted the entire infection. Unless you lik remnants, I would suggest you attach FRST
