EMC SYMCLI storapid.exe detected as rootkit ?
« on: December 02, 2014, 05:00:58 PM »
Hi,
When I logged into my system this morning after rebooting it I got a rootkit alert popup from Avast relating to one of the files that is part of the EMC SYMCLI package name storapid.exe. I'm pretty sure this is a false positive but I've never seen Avast throw a rootkit alert before and this product has been installed for a while. Any advice on how to confirm if it is a legit alert or not?

Thanks,
Mike
