No notifications since update

Since the latest update 2015.10.0.2208 of IS2015 I have had no notification when any updates are made, audible or visual.
Have I missed something obvious/
Any advice please

If I haven't misunderstood your question, the answer is:  Avast has dropped/illuminated the "voice notification" and popup that program VPS has been updated in the 2015 versions
