Avast Linux and on-access scanning ?
« on: September 10, 2005, 04:38:47 PM »
HI !

Is there a possibility that in the near future a on-acces feature will be implented ?

It should be easy to do using the following driver "Dazuko"  http://www.dazuko.org/index.shtml wich gives permissions to handle files on-acces.

I used it before in combination wiht the free Clam-AV for linux, and it works great. no system slowdown at all.

As i see Linux on desktops becoming more popular in the very near future...it would be a nice item to use. Because more popularity will also mean, more malware.

H+BEDV AntiVir workstation for UNIX features on access scanning + GUI and is free for personal use. The GUI requires java 1.4.0 or above.

Does Alwil have any plans to offer a rival product?

Perhaps something bigger n better ;D
