Every time I boot my PC I get a message from Avast asking me to secure my phone with Avast. I do not have a smart phone, and will not be getting one soon. Why is Avast spamming me with ads for a product I have no use for. 
I did not have this problem before, and would like it to stop. Is it possible to put an opt out button on the ad for people like me to opt out of the offer?
If you have the paid version of Avast the answer is yes.
If you use the free version like I, the answer is probably no.
Simply close the popup and go on with your work. You can shorten the length of time the popup
is displayed in the settings, so it goes away faster but, in the free version you will see some ads.
