Hello,
I have ben using avast for some time now wihout any problem and found it great. However, I joined today a new school whose computer service configured my computer to allow me to connect via wifi.The configuration only consisted in setting the proxy address and giving me a user name on the domain.
Since then, I can access normal http but am unable to connect to any site onthe port 443 (https). When I try to do so, I got a pop-up box where my login and password are endlessly asked.
I tried to disable the avast resident protection, and were able to connect using https. However, if I simply suspend all the services all the https sites are still blocked.
Additionnaly, Avast is not able to conact the update server anymore. I set up the proxy parameters I use to access internet (login and password), but the update manager is still unable to connect.

Then, the small text box tells me (in french, I am translating) "impossible to connect to the proxy with this setting. Please review your parameters and try later".
I dont know if it has any link with the repoted problem (I am not familiar with wiidows domain procedure) but it says at a moment :

but the login for the prox server is SCHOOL_DOMAIN\mylogin.
I think this should come from a problem in configuring avast in some way. However, I dont have any idea anymore of new solutions to try. If anyone could bring me a solution, I would be largely gratefull.
