CD Alert Splash
« on: March 26, 2003, 08:04:51 PM »
Running the free Home V4.0-183 and when I go to shutdown or restart I get this splash about a CD and that it should be removed to prevent a virus. I follow the removal of the CD, close the door then try to exit Win XP pro again and the splash reappears.

How do I get rid of this splash?

Tks,

You get this message because you have avast set to check your CD-ROM drive upon logout.

You could set avast to NOT check cds upon logout, or, you could check to be sure 'autorun' or 'autoplay' (whichever it is) is turned on in Windows. It could be that Windows doesn't know that you ejected the cd, and this is why I suggested the 'autorun' setting.
